Take Home Point #7: What to Wear on Exam Day

· NAC OSCE Exam,What to Wear,Exam Day,Lab Coat,Business Casual

You don't need to 'suit up' for the NAC-OSCE but do wear comfortable business casual clothing and shoes. Wear an outfit that makes you feel cool, calm, collected and above all: confident.

I highly recommend following my rule of twos: select two oufits two weeks prior to the exam. Why two oufits? One in case of cool weather. One in case of warm weather. Why two weeks before the exam? It will alleviate some stress by eliminating difficult last minute wardrobe decisions when you're already managing anxiety about the forthcoming exam.

What NOT to wear

1. Give perfumes and colognes a miss as all exam sites are scent sensitive spaces.

2. Watches of any kind (digital, analogue, smartphone) are not permitted on site.

3. Avoid any garments that feature slogans or bold logos and this includes your clean white lab coat. It must be plain white with no logos (university or hospital crest). You may cover it with tape before the exam though.
