Take Home Point #30: What's the Last Thing You Should Do Before Exiting a NAC-OSCE Station?

· NAC OSCE Exam,Canada,IMG,Advice,Station Etiquette

Whether your NAC-OSCE station went well or not there is one thing that you should always do before you exit the station: thank the examiner and the simulated patient (SP) for their time. I assure you they will greatly appreciate your gratitude. Typically, examiners and SPs spend their 12-hour workday confined to a tiny (often windowless) station room where they run through their case up to 40 times. It makes for a very long day. You're there for only one administration of the NAC-OSCE exam and thankfully the time will fly by for you.

Many studies continue to show that positive thinking improves exam performance. So, as you exit your NAC-OSCE stations, take a second to thank the examiner and SP for their time with a simple "Thanks for your time today!" Your kindness will brighten their day - and you'll end all your stations on a positive note - and carry that good vibe into your next station too.
